"Can be played with only 1 gamepad" is for Portal 2 which only supports two players, it's noted with the 1 and not *. For the other games at least one gamepad is required to play multiplayer as one player can use keyboard and mouse, add more gamepads for more players is my guess. 4VKQfh.
